It is with deep regret, that I pen these few lines on my good friend, Internationally reputed cricket commentator par excellence Ranil Abeynaike, who passed away on Tuesday, February 21, 2012 at the age of 57, from a heart attack.

Peterites take major honours in drawn match
St.Peter’s College recorded a first innings win over S Thomas College Mount Lavinia in their under 19 inter school match which concluded at Mount Lavinia yesterday with the match ending at 4 pm due to rain.

St. Peter’s College were in a commanding position at the end of the first day in their inter-schools under-19 match against S.Thomas’ College Mount Lavinia at Mount Lavinia yesterday. Thomians were bundled out for 180 runs in their first innings.
